Aena SME SA is a Spanish airport operator that manages the largest airport network in Spain, including Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, and Palma de Mallorca, alongside dozens of other Spanish airports and two heliports. It also holds direct and indirect interests in airports abroad, notably London Luton and other UK airports, a portfolio of Brazilian airports, and minority stakes in Mexican and Jamaican airport groups through its holding in Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico. Aena generates revenue from aeronautical charges paid by airlines for landing, passenger, and infrastructure services, and from commercial activities such as retail, duty-free, food and beverage, car parking, advertising, and real estate, which benefit from passenger traffic volumes. Its customers include airlines, passengers, retailers, and other concessionaires.
